Lacrosse sixes ?


The fastest version of lacrosse: six players per team, a smaller field, and a 30-second shot clock. This is the discipline the club plays, and the one that will be featured at the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.

The rules

The Sixes in 4 Ideas

Six on Six

Continuous 30-second shot clock: the game never stops.

Smaller Field

70 x 36 meters: less space, more one-on-one situations and shots on goal.

Shot clock

30 seconds to take a shot after regaining possession. No delays in play.

04

Four quarters

Four 8-minute periods with the stopwatch running continuously; substitutions on the fly.

The equipment

What you need

Don't worry: the club provides all the equipment you'll need for your first few sessions. Just come in your workout clothes.

Short stick

Only one length is allowed for sixes: greater maneuverability for everyone.

Helmet

Head protection is required on the field.

Gloves

To protect your hands during duels.

Arm-pads

Elbow padsTo absorb impact on the arms during one-on-one battles.

Chest protector

Protects the torso and sometimes the shoulders, so you can play with confidence.
